Simple to set up, the Mallard Chaser Shaker requires no swivels, eliminating any banging or clinking noises. Just pull the hand line tight and release the decoy(s) to create a churning water motion that ducks can spot from a distance. It takes only 5 minutes to set up and can be used as either a chaser or shaker. The system can be anchored to a tree, metal pole, or heavy weight, and performs best in water depths ranging from 8 inches to 8 feet. To prepare, drill a 3/8-inch hole in the front portion above the keel on the decoy and thread the lines through. 

Splashing water is an effective technique in duck hunting that simulates the natural activity of ducks in the wild, significantly enhancing the realism of your decoy spread. The sound and movement created by splashing imitate ducks landing, feeding, or interacting on the water, which can catch the attention of passing ducks and draw them into your setup.
